Nastar is Indonesian cookies with pineapple and cinnamon jam filling.

250 gram “Blue Band” Margarine
2 sticks butter
4 eggs yolk
1 egg white
5 tbs powder milk (I used coffee creamer)
3 tbs corn starch
About 500 gr flour.

Homemade pineapple jam:
– 2 cans of pineapple, crushed
– Cinnamon
– Sugar
– 2-3 Cloves (optional)
– Lemon Zest (optional)

Homemade pineapple jam:
Mix pineapple, cinnamon, cloves and sugar (as much as u like :P) in a medium saucepan. Cook in medium heat and stir occasionally until thickened. Add lemon zest and cook for few more minutes. Refrigerate at least for 2 hours.

– Mix margarine, butter and eggs until well blended by using mixer (low speed) for about 15-20 seconds only (do NOT overmix)
– With wooden spoon, stir in powdered milk/creamer and corn starch.
– Stir in flour slowly (1 cup at a time) until it forms a stiff dough.
– Shape the dough into small balls, fill it with 1/2 teaspoon of pineapple jam.
– Brush each cookie with beaten egg yolk.
– Bake for 25-27 minutes, 350 F
